Hopefully the nice day wasn't ruined too much by the problems with one of the courses and the vegetation at Deer Creek. Although Heather had designed 4 courses, a white, and three intermediate/advanced, short, medium and long, I nixed the long course because of some of the control locations and eliminated one of the points on the medium length. Unfortunately when I created the master map with the course changes I put one of the circles at the wrong boulder. Most of the competitors that got to that point did search and find the point but wasted a lot of time.

I apologize for the problem with the medium course. Unfortunately I can't do much about the issues with the vegetation at Deer Creek. In the future we may have to set courses where the best paths through the green or best crossing points through the yellow are marked on the map. It's either that or only do trail oriented meets there.
