Alley Park - NOD - Autumn 2005

National Orienteering Day - 17 September 2005

Alley Park - Meet Director - Karen Rogers

We had a wonderful day to kick off our 2005 Fall

season. The Brunton company generously donated prizes

to be given away during the NOD days around the country.

Unfortunately, they did not arrive until after our event.

Not a problem. The drawing has been held and the

prizes will be mailed out to the lucky recipients.

They are:

Kent Anderson a Brunton, long sleeve, T-shirt

Joey Curmode a Brunton compass, model 7DNL

Shawn Harmon a Brunton compass, model 7DNL

Joe Mason Maptech software, Terrain Navigator

Alex McSurley a Brunton compass, model 7DNL

Ashley Patterson a Brunton compass, model 7DNL

Additionally, each lucky winner also receives a coupon

good for a free day of Orienteering with the

Central Ohio Orienteers.

Many thanks to all the COO members who made this event

possible by volunteering to help. Bob Huebner was off

Orienteering in England during the event, but he had

designed all the courses in advance. Earl Reisinger

and I arrived early and set out the controls. Allen

Sellers and Heather Hawkins arrived early and claimed

the shelter house for us and set up the registration

area. Olga Zakharova handled the start/finish roster.

Peter Raine and Sergei Preobrazhensky picked up all the

flags after the event. Now, that's team work.
